Tejasvini Bisht is a Counselling Psychologist who holds a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology with Specialization in Counseling from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. With close to 9 years of experience in the field, Tejasvini finds her interest in exploring alternative or new approaches to counseling and uses various techniques to tap on emotional well-being. She uses an integrative approach with a feminist, trauma-informed, queer-affirmative and social-justice lens in her work. She firmly believes that an individual does not exist in a vacuum but is a part of a larger social context or structure, where there is an influence of disempowering social forces on the individual, giving rise to many of their issues. She also acknowledges the importance of narratives of the lived experiences of individuals in the process of meaning-making, by identifying and leveraging their strengths to tackle their issues. Tejasvini uses an eclectic approach in her work, borrowing interventions from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Narrative Therapy, Gottman Method, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Brainspotting. She is currently running an online practice and is open to working with individuals in the age group of 18-60 years.
